How we handle your data

This Privacy Policy describes how Sugar Candy Kingdom ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the mobile application Sugar Candy Kingdom (the "App").

Sugar Candy Kingdom is a casual single-player collection game. Your gameplay state (collection, streak, journal, settings) is stored locally on your device only. We do not maintain user accounts and you do not need to sign in to play.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information collected automatically

When you first install and open the App, a small amount of technical and attribution data is collected so we can measure installs, attribute marketing campaigns correctly, and send the optional notifications you may grant permission for:

  • Google Advertising ID (GAID) — a resettable advertising identifier provided by Android, used for install attribution and to comply with advertising-platform requirements.
  • Open Anonymous Device Identifier (OAID) — the equivalent advertising identifier on some Android devices that do not support GAID.
  • Installer ID — identifies which marketing source delivered the install (e.g. the partner network or store referrer).
  • AppsFlyer attribution identifiers — the AppsFlyer user ID, media source, and campaign name, used to attribute installs to marketing campaigns.
  • Install Referrer — the Google Play install referrer string for the same purpose.
  • Anonymous user ID — a randomly generated identifier created on first launch, used only to deduplicate install events.
  • OneSignal push notification token — collected only if you grant notification permission, used to deliver in-app notifications (such as energy-refill reminders and the nightly streak warning).
  • Device information — device model, operating system version, system language, country, and screen resolution, used for compatibility and crash diagnostics.

1.2 Built-in browser

The App includes a built-in browser used to display this Privacy Policy and the Support page directly within the App. The built-in browser does not collect any additional data beyond what is described in Section 1.1. Any websites loaded in the built-in browser operate under their own privacy practices.

1.3 Information you provide

If you contact us through the Support / Contact form, you may provide:

  • Your name and email address
  • An optional subject line
  • A description of your question or the issue you encountered
  • An optional file attachment — you can take a photo using your device's camera, or choose an existing file (an image, PDF, plain text, or log file) through your device's file picker

We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry and resolve the reported issue. The App itself does not access your camera directly — photo capture, when used, is handled entirely by your device's built-in camera app.

1.4 Information we do not collect

  • We do not collect your name, email address, or any contact details unless you voluntarily send them through the Support / Contact form.
  • We do not request direct access to your microphone, photo library, contacts, calendar, location, or health data. (Camera capture, when you tap the file-attachment field on the Support form, is handled entirely by your device's built-in camera app — the App does not declare a camera permission of its own.)
  • We do not process any payment information — the App contains no in-app purchases and accepts no real money.
  • We do not upload your gameplay state, collection, or journal to any server.

2. How We Use Information

  • To attribute installs to the marketing campaign that delivered them.
  • To deliver the optional local and push notifications you have opted in to.
  • To diagnose technical problems and crashes.
  • To respond to support inquiries you send through the Contact form.
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. Data Retention

Attribution and device-information records are retained for the period required to compute and audit marketing-campaign performance, after which they are deleted or anonymized. Contact-form messages are retained for as long as is reasonably necessary to handle your inquiry and any follow-up.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is rated for general audiences (Everyone 10+ / mild themes) and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict our processing of the personal information described above, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 9.

You can disable advertising identifiers at any time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads on Android) and revoke notification permission at any time in the App's Settings screen or in your device's notification settings.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we process. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
